Webcasting Cool

Or will it be cool webcasting? Either way I received a sweet gift from my friend and fellow JTV broadcaster MistressKeo today that will hopefully significantly increase the quietness of my Cartooning casts at my own JTV Channel, which you can watch RIGHT HERE at my site!


It’s a Laptop Cooling stand! It’s angled which is swell because now I should have an easier time getting the laptop camera down on the page as I work on them. This ol’ Macbook Pro of mine is already 5 years old and has been suffering from some extreme heat issues lately, so much so I’ve been using a noisy old oscillating fan to cool it off. This of course drowned out a lot of me from my casts and was just simply annoying. This stand should not only keep the casts quieter, but increase the life of my laptop…let’s see if I can get another 5 years out of it!

Site Downtime – JTV

Hey everybody. I’m experiencing some technical difficulties here at RKdia Comics right now, and will not be posting any further updates until it’s fixed. I’ll have a TON of material to go up by the time I do resolve the problems however. In the meantime, I will continue to do my JTV shows. I have some Pokemon and Comic pages to color, along with a few other special pieces, and starting tonight I’ll be doing a summer-long run of the first 6 Final Fantasy games! So stop on by to my Citadel at JTV and hang out!

Turning up the Intensity

Here’s a quick tablet sketch I did recently of Amy from my in-production comic Citadel. This week I officially cut back on my hours at my part time job and will be hammering out the inks for thesis pages. I’ll possibly be broadcasting my inking over at my JTV page, so process-junkies; come on by and hang out and watch me go to town!

I’ll also be playing more with Photoshop, and my new tablet, and hope to have more Creature Features for you this week.

Finally, I’d like to pimp my classmate’s web collective:

CCS Alumni Sam Carbaugh, my classmate Jason Week and my roommate Jen Vaughn all do amazing, funny, and fun webcomics! Please give em a look! I’ve always wanted to be in a collective, and am actually working on getting some other cartoonist friends of mine together, but only time will tell.
