Sketch Card: Mother’s Day 2013

Because we didn’t get along well growing up, but Moms are the glue that holds families together!

As is my tradition, I did a couple sketch cards for the two mothers in my life: My own and my sister who is the mother of two as well. My sister’s kids are SO easy to draw, they have very distinct lines to their faces. I like doing this every so often to sort of record their growth and see how fast they’re changing!

Happy Mother’s Day everyone!

Sketch Card – Mistress Keo

My friend Keo is a game streamer at Instagib.tv and member of the VaughnLive crew. She’s also a furry and this is her alter ego! The color on the hair was hard to match with my limited palette of Prismacolors, but I have a better idea of how to approach it next time! And there will be a next time, she’s super fun to draw!

Sketch Card – Link

I’ve officially run out of MAGFest Sketch cards! Now I’m creating them as warm-ups in my studio before I work on comics most days. I hope to build up a BIG fat pile of them for my upcoming conventions and next year’s MAGFest! This time around I’ve done a classic Link from the very first Zelda game on NES! I picked up a copy of Hyrule Historia and am feeling super excited and inspired by it!
